For South African certificates, the Apostille must be issued by the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO).<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"cr5h4d\" data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"1013\">If the certificate was not issued by the South African Department of Home Affairs, an Italian translation of the birth certificate is required \u2014 the Apostille itself does not need to be translated.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"id456e\" data-start=\"1014\" data-end=\"1157\">Civil status records: marriage certificate, any divorce decree or death certificate of the spouse, and any subsequent marriage certificate.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"k0dmqz\" data-start=\"1158\" data-end=\"1292\">Italian certificates must be requested from the competent Municipality (<em data-start=\"1232\" data-end=\"1240\">Comune<\/em>), recently issued, and provided in original form.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"19vhxln\" data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1474\">South African certificates must be requested from the Department of Home Affairs in original form, duly legalized with an Apostille issued by DIRCO, and translated into Italian.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1a87fp5\" data-start=\"1476\" data-end=\"1485\">PARENT<\/h2>\n<ul data-start=\"1487\" data-end=\"2472\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\n<li data-section-id=\"3bznj8\" data-start=\"1487\" data-end=\"1615\">Historical certificate of residence of the parent (issued by the relevant Italian Municipality\/Municipalities (<em data-start=\"1600\" data-end=\"1610\">Comune\/i<\/em>)).<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1f6yuk9\" data-start=\"1616\" data-end=\"1783\">Civil status records: full birth certificate, marriage certificate, any divorce decree or death certificate of the spouse, and any subsequent marriage certificate.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"k0dmqz\" data-start=\"1784\" data-end=\"1918\">Italian certificates must be requested from the competent Municipality (<em data-start=\"1858\" data-end=\"1866\">Comune<\/em>), recently issued, and provided in original form.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"19vhxln\" data-start=\"1919\" data-end=\"2100\">South African certificates must be requested from the Department of Home Affairs in original form, duly legalized with an Apostille issued by DIRCO, and translated into Italian.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"2u3l3o\" data-start=\"2101\" data-end=\"2472\" data-is-last-node=\"\">Certificate or statement of non-naturalization \/ absence of South African citizenship issued by the Department of Home Affairs, with DIRCO Apostille and translation.
