{"id":8399,"date":"2026-03-03T11:04:02","date_gmt":"2026-03-03T09:04:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consjohannesburg.esteri.it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/voting-abroad\/referendum-costituzionale-2026-rilascio-dei-duplicati\/"},"modified":"2026-03-06T11:31:24","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T09:31:24","slug":"referendum-costituzionale-2026-rilascio-dei-duplicati","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/consjohannesburg.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/voting-abroad\/referendum-costituzionale-2026-rilascio-dei-duplicati\/","title":{"rendered":"CONSTITUTIONAL REFERENDUM 2026: ISSUANCE OF DUPLICATES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"332\"><strong data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"63\">Voters who have not received their electoral ballot package<\/strong> may request a <strong data-start=\"78\" data-end=\"91\">DUPLICATE<\/strong> from this Consulate General starting <strong data-start=\"129\" data-end=\"148\">Sunday, 8 March<\/strong>, by using the form available here:<br data-start=\"183\" data-end=\"186\" \/><a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/consjohannesburg.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/19.2-Modulo-richiesta-duplicati.doc\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"186\" data-end=\"283\">https:\/\/consjohannesburg.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/19.2-Modulo-richiesta-duplicati.doc<\/a> \u2013 together with a valid identification document.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"334\" data-end=\"565\">Requests for a duplicate may be submitted <strong data-start=\"376\" data-end=\"412\">in person at the Consular Office<\/strong> or sent <strong data-start=\"421\" data-end=\"432\">by mail<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"434\" data-end=\"454\">by regular email<\/strong> at <strong data-start=\"458\" data-end=\"492\"><a class=\"decorated-link cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"460\" data-end=\"490\">cgjohannesburg.elett@esteri.it<\/a><\/strong>, or <strong data-start=\"497\" data-end=\"525\">by certified email (PEC)<\/strong> at <strong data-start=\"529\" data-end=\"564\"><a class=\"decorated-link cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"531\" data-end=\"562\">con.johannesburg@cert.esteri.it<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"567\" data-end=\"1046\">Voters requesting a duplicate ballot package must declare that they are aware of the <strong data-start=\"652\" data-end=\"692\">criminal penalties for double voting<\/strong>, as provided by <strong data-start=\"709\" data-end=\"753\">Article 18, paragraph 2, of Law 459\/2001<\/strong>, which states:<br data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"771\" \/>\u201cAnyone who, during parliamentary elections or referendums, votes both by mail and at the polling station of their last registration in Italy, or votes more than once by mail, shall be punished with imprisonment from one to three years and a fine from 52 euros to 258 euros.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1048\" data-end=\"1431\">After carrying out the necessary checks, this Consulate General will provide the applicants with the relevant instructions for the issuance of the duplicate. The duplicate may be <strong data-start=\"1227\" data-end=\"1270\">sent to the voter\u2019s residential address<\/strong> (if there is sufficient time for delivery) or <strong data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1337\">issued in person<\/strong>, during the Consular Office\u2019s opening hours <strong data-start=\"1382\" data-end=\"1431\">from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1433\" data-end=\"1591\">Please note that this Office will also observe the following <strong data-start=\"1494\" data-end=\"1590\">extraordinary public opening hours exclusively for the issuance of duplicate ballot packages<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1593\" data-end=\"1712\">\n<li data-section-id=\"cbweq2\" data-start=\"1593\" data-end=\"1654\">\n<p data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"1654\"><strong data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"1652\">Saturday, 14 March 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1kp6mte\" data-start=\"1655\" data-end=\"1712\">\n<p data-start=\"1657\" data-end=\"1712\"><strong data-start=\"1657\" data-end=\"1712\">Sunday, 15 March 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1714\" data-end=\"1885\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Finally, please note that the <strong data-start=\"1744\" data-end=\"1885\" data-is-last-node=\"\">pre-paid envelopes containing the completed ballots must reach this Consulate General no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, 19 March 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Voters who have not received their electoral ballot package may request a DUPLICATE from this Consulate General starting Sunday, 8 March, by using the form available here:https:\/\/consjohannesburg.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/19.2-Modulo-richiesta-duplicati.doc \u2013 together with a valid identification document.
