On the ocasion of the 2019 “Holocaust Remembrance Day ”, the Consulate General of Italy in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Insititute and the South African Holocaust & Genocide Foundation will promote a series of lectures dedicated to Primo Levi (whose Birth’s centenary is celebrated this year) and to the remembrance of the Holocaust.
The lectures – entitled ” Bearing witness: Primo Levi and the Memory of the Holocaust” will be given by Prof. Mario Barenghi, Professore of Contemporary Italian Literature at the University of M” Milano-Bicocca” and they will take place at the Durban Holocaust & Genocide Centre and at the Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre.
