Police Clearance Certificate

“Police Clearance Certificate” TO BE SUBMITTED TO LOCAL AUTHORITIES

The Police Clearance Certificate is one of the fundamental documents to be presented to local authorities in order to apply for a residence permit (permanent residence) in South African territory.

The only competent authority for issuing this certificate is the Italian Ministry of Justice.

Persons who must submit this document to a South African authority MUST request the certificate of pending charges from the Public Prosecutor's Office of the place of last residence or AIRE registration. In order for this act to be valid abroad it must be equipped with an APOSTILLE which is affixed by the same Public Prosecutor's Office.
